It's fascinating how manichean most media narratives are, splitting people between the good guys and the bad guys, especially when there no good guys to be found. And how one person's category can switch from one to the other from story to story, based on who else is involved
99% of the time, we don't need an emotional response to news stories. We don't need to root for one side, we don't need to be angry or outraged at the other side. Often there aren't even sides. We just need to understand what's happening, to inform where we're going.
