Not saying that the Macron government is perfect, but is it not clear that this AstroTurf "gillet jaune" movement is dark-money/russian funded? The bulk of the protesters are economically shooting themselves in the foot by hurting small business. Cui bono?

Hard disagree. Enabling weaponized mass propaganda is not an intrinsic feature of a social network. Facebook is directly responsible for the damage it's doing to our democracies.

I guess it is fair to argue that Russian intelligence was pushing for Brexit as well as protests in France. But their goals would be a lot harder to achieve was it not for legitimate grievances, anger, and resignation among the working class. 1/2
