It's always a major red flag when a decision-maker claims to have "great intuition for judging people" or "a x-ray for character". Human intuition is fundamentally biased -- much like machine learning algorithms, but often worse.

Usually, "I have a social radar" means "I make categorical, discriminatory judgments about strangers after 30s of interaction, based on subjective personal preferences, including whether I like your face, and I am extremely confident about it"

If they do have a track record of having great intuition then why not rely on it? Isn't the real issue that they have made a claim about their accuracy that needs to be verified, supported by evidence? People are always going to be a black box, so only their track record matters

You need to be part of a system with higher standards for this to be practical. For example, Google hiring Vs. a bank's tech hiring. Impractical for many people I suppose.
