Personally, I am deeply skeptical of brain-computer interfaces for consumer use cases, because existing physical interfaces such as screens and keyboards do not represent a meaningful bottleneck to our use of technology

To some extent yes. But despite sharing w/you some skeptic view of BCI's expectations (especially the extreme ones), maybe it'll be possible to "expand" our "internal" brain memory, like those supposedly w/photographic memory... Rather than having to look at my cell screen
