I didn't get a ticket, but even if I did I'm not sure I'd want to go this year, since all the people I would have liked to meet most likely didn't get one... defeating my use case.

My use case for an extremely large ML conference is that it gets everyone in the same location for a few days, so I can meet up with all the people I don't usually see (not serendipitously, but by scheduling time in advance). If it sells out in 15 min, that doesn't work anymore.
