One thing I know for sure is almost no one takes me as a coder seriously. I got comment like I should go to CS grad school. PhD in literature, so what?

Ignore the trolls & gatekeepers, who seek to hinder the realization of other people's potential so they can feel better about themselves. If that makes you feel any better, I'm often told I am "not a real researcher" --by people with less citations than me-- because I write code.
Just a few years I was also told I was not a real coder. Time flies...
