Naturally, there will be an "AGI winter" of sorts -- interest in hyped-up "general human-level AI" projects will fade when it becomes clear that these aren't going anywhere and that the promises were empty. It is the nature of hype bubble to eventually pop.

Brainstorming here: Automatic plant + animal species identification in your pocket. Automatic routing of proposed legislation to those it pertains to by parsing its text. Improved weather forecasting. Crop monitoring (and then going a further to improve crop quality + yields).
