Every little parcel of your current project may present an almost infinite amount of tiny details to get lost in. It's hard, but crucially important, to keep your eyes on the big picture: the purpose of what you're doing.

That... you just describe one of the biggest issues I have. Focus on the prize. Sometimes I just get lost in those little details longer than I wish I had. I've been more aware of it though.
