The challenge with this framework is it only works if everyone does it. The divide and conquer approach you recommend doesn’t account for the unseen who are in need of help. Unless your system accounts for this via some sense of the unseen, it will reinforce class imbalance. 1

(Specifically societal class imbalance). You could perhaps claim that those interested in supporting those outside your social sphere exist and thus there is an account. But I’ve found personally that when you support those outside your sphere it has the largest impact. 2
