Now, do *not* @ me with your deep reflections on how having a military is necessary and thus Google contracting for the US DoD is a Good Thing. If you think that the argument against Maven was primarily "the military is bad", you must be incredibly naive or incredibly uninformed.

What is "right" or "wrong" depends on your moral cost function. A devil's advocate could say this decision decreases the security of the US, which could put lives in peril. This binary classification of "good" vs "bad" isn't so clear cut, this wasn't a morally trivial decision.
