    Xcode just died on my computer. 💀 I had to force quit it. (Don’t press ⌘+J when looking at build output) Then it bounced in the dock forever on relaunching, so I force quit it again. Now it silently doesn’t launch.

    If you’re not trying to make your own job obsolete, you may not be growing. It’s also likely somebody else is doing it for you.

    You can’t manually check that your code is doing the right thing forever. So cut out as much manual checking as you can and learn to write good tests.

    When you run code to see if it works, that’s a test. Code that runs your code and automatically tells you if it broke is the same, but much faster.

    Some newspapers, as a way to build public trust, are ending their endorsement process entirely, and rethinking (or even breaking up) their opinion section.

    That they made a TV episode of the process for "transparency" and then decided to do this feels like media stunt, not a public service. Its "success" is in getting *us* all talking on about it on here.

    Citing the language your project is written in as an advantage always has seemed like a red flag to me. Cite instead the benefits of being written in that language for the problem you're solving (mem management, portability, etc.) not just "written in X"
