My review for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings! 😊

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a confident introduction to Marvel’s first Asian superhero, delivering the MCU’s best fight choreography and one of its most emotionally complex villains. Our review: bit.ly/3j5MRFt

My two biggest thoughts watching WandaVision: 1) "My Name Is Earl did this first!" 2) "Wow, they actually pulled WAY more from Tom King's Vision than I was expecting..." So I wrote about those references:

Incredible thread about masculinity/idea of protecting your family

When I hear men worshipping guns and talking about how there’s nothing that will stop them from defending their family, my mind goes to Naaman in the Bible. Do you remember Naaman? He was a great military leader, and he also had leprosy. 1/

tested positive for COVID after waking up with a sore/dry throat and a super runny nose yesterday. please x3 get vaccinated AND boosted (if poss). I know this could’ve been worse. and while I feel awful for possibly exposing my friends to it, I know they’re also v/b & smart

Hi, me again! I liked the sequel :) Read my review! ⤵️

Venom: Let There Be Carnage improves on everything from the first movie, leaning into its own absurdity. While it plays it a little safe, it still points the series in an exciting direction. Our review: bit.ly/3meNzk7

Went to see #Eternals last night! It’s not your typical Marvel movie, but there are still really great characters, lots of humor/heart, fantastic visuals, and hot people in costumes- what more could you ask for?

In honor of MHA & AAPI month, I am here to shed the v Asian trait of not seeking praise: I am TIRED of not being recognized for the all the great work I do. What I don’t see reflected in my salary is *also* not reflected in words!

The two reviews I've ~professionally~ written touch on two very important aspects of my identity: being Asian (Shang-Chi) and being a millennial (Space Jam). Both share a theme of external legacy tied to each property and I've been honored to review them!

Death of a celebrity is odd to process. Although you may have never met them, they can be linked with some of the most important parts of your life. Being born in LA and raised in OC, Kobe was that for me/family/friends. A complicated icon for sure. Rest in peace, Mamba.

Rosamund Pike explains why she buries her acting awards in her garden: "In the future when I’m dead and gone, or when someone else buys the house, there will be landscaping and they’ll hit metal and they’ll think they’ve found buried treasure." bit.ly/30waHQr

A story in 4 parts: Yesterday, I asked on IG if the Strawberry Shortcake ice cream bar is the GOAT (the answer is yes btw). Then, responded looking for a fight... Instead, we achieved world peace by discovering the ice cream version of international Big Birds!

ok happy to brag that I have also watched #TheBatman and was ABSOLUTELY FLOORED: legitimately haunting moments, gorgeous cinematography, with an earworm of a score, and surprisingly campy at times? I didn't write the review but captures everything I'd want to anyway ⤵️

Matt Reeves’ violent, thrilling, darkly beautiful take on The Batman more than justifies its place in the franchise’s canon. 10/10. Our review by @a_sted: bit.ly/3JNaYDu

28 years & 2 days ago, my mom was in the hospital watching the bronco car chase in LA. she didn’t want me to miss any of it, so 2 days later, i was born (and now i’m obsessed with true crime)
