Maybe some good advice for editors in this day and age is, don't write tongue-in-cheek headlines. With Trump in the White House, there's no longer anything so stupid that we don't automatically assume someone actually believes it.

Yeah, I don't blame the author at all, his piece was delicious snark all the way through. I blame the editor, who gave it a headline that didn't convey it was supposed to be snarky.
