THAT is the source of @tedcruz's conspiracy theory about @BetoORourke's campaign paying the migrant caravan.
The PV video doesn't even mention the caravan, it's refugees already in the country and processed. And the campaign didn't pay them, they paid a local charity. Legally.
The fact that @tedcruz immediately leapt on a conspiracy theory based on edited footage from a convicted criminal who has a long history of scamming reporters should really tell you how scared he is of @BetoORourke.
Responsible journalists need to press him on this. Now.
Also: anyone who for a second believed the video was legit should be embarrassed. Even putting aside the track record of the source, the claim doesn't make sense. Why would a Senate campaign waste its own money illegally paying migrants to come to a state they can't vote in?
The truth is, Cruz knew full well this was a horseshit hoax from the start. He's not an idiot. But he chose to fan the flames and get the hoax circulating. That's completely disqualifying. He has no business being a senator. Next Tuesday, we all need to vote his lying ass out.
This kind of lying on behalf of a candidate should be illegal. There need to be consequences.

Can the Beto O’Rourke campaign take perpetual liar James O’Keefe to court over this attempt at slander. Anyone who still looks at project veritas as anything other than an Onion Story in live-action needs to check in to a mental health facility.
O'Rourke won't because if he takes this to court, he'll end up with fines and staffers will end up in jail. It's just like with Crazy Christine Ford, as soon as Kavanaugh was confirmed, she took the money, and everybody shut up about it.
