Look at it this way: imagine we passed a law that said you have to wear your hair in cornrows to be able to vote. I mean, come on. White people aren't too dumb to go into a barbershop and ask for cornrows. Are you saying they are?

Also, just out of curiosity, are homeless people allowed to vote? Just something I've always thought about. That's over a million people who obviously don't have a verifiable address and A LOT of them are veterans.
-
A lot of voter ID laws don't require that ID bear an address. But yes, in the states where they do, like North Dakota and New Hampshire, it's a huge political issue right now.

It was $40 to renew my license in NC. To someone who is homeless or on a fixed budget, that’s a lot of money. That’s groceries and heat.
-
I got mine yesterday so that I could get my ballot notarized. (My licence was almost A YEAR expired!) It was also $40. Crazy! And it only lasts 3 years!

I was going over where my students could early vote. One student we couldn’t find in the data base. She brought in her voter registration card the next day. Her addresses didn’t match. I told her “see how easy it is to get disenfranchised” and suggested she get to the DMV.

It’s very sad that you’d even get that response. Looks like they haven’t educated themselves on issues of voter suppression & fact that there is such a minute amt of voter fraud & R’s have been guilty of that as late as 2016. Voting is a right & responsibility of EVERY AMERICAN..

Some things are too precious. Trump has done so much wrong to this country voting is more important than ever. Votes are valuable and I was willing to jump through the hoops to vote. VOTE BLUE. Be part of the change
