FWIW I almost never edit go.mod files manually. I've never needed to, other than editing the module name after `go mod init` gets it wrong.
-
I had to edit it today to support submodules (to add the replace directive). The `go mod init` didn't worked in my case :/
-
go mod edit -replace ?
-
Those will be upcoming vim-go commands. You're going to use `:GoModReplace`, `:GoModExclude`. If you somehow wrote the version wrong, you can edit and save it. It's just the beginning for now.

Very excited to show the initial support for Go modules in vim-go! I've found that editing and reading "go.mod" is the most common stuff during early discovery. These features will make the transition process to Go modules easier and enjoyable for you.
