Dreams are perhaps the greatest hint of the simulation. The "reality" that you experience in a dream is just as real to you as waking life, even though it arises from the brain processing information. Whichever simulation you're in seems real because YOU exist.
For all intents and purposes, you do live in a simulation. The "reality" you perceive in waking life is a simulation of reality constructed by your brain. Various stimuli are processed into mental models that allow you to function in the abstract world.
