    Probably the best news of the free agent season for the Warriors. The Warriors needed Looney more than he needed them. At least there will be a semblance of defense on the floor.

    First things first.Thank you, Andre. But Lacob & Meyers were prepared 2 operate out of necessity brought on by circumstances. The rebuild starts now but w/some pieces to work with. More to come over the next 2 years as the Dubs as constructed don't fit the Meyers/Kerr framework.

    Iguodala has been one of the Warrior's most important players, but this move is about timing and rebuilding. Lacob operates like Bill Walsh in this respect.

    Golden State is trading Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies, league source tells ESPN. Warriors are sending a 2024 protected first-round pick in the 2024 (protected 1-4), 2025 (protected 1) and 2026 unprotected.

    That's a big commitment, but Russell gives the Warriors a star to replace a superstar with a serious career injury. A very good concession even if Russell isn't a perfect fit.

    Source: It's a full five-year max for Klay Thompson, not a 4+1. No player option on the fifth year. No 'no trade' clause. Just like the Steph Curry contract a couple summers ago.

    The Warriors core is still in tact, and they have an opportunity to now rebuild over the the next two seasons. Curry has been able to draw in others in the past. Time for more. KD was great for the Warriors and fans should be grateful. Here's to you, KD. Cheers.
