  1. Yep. This echoes feedback from friends and acquaintances. The “favourite” Rayner is not a favourite in their eyes. Labour members and CLPs need to be very careful.

On being I'm German. 75 yrs ago we lost & that was good. For everyone. Our defeat was our rescue. That's how we see it. Still today people believe that we want to rule, bully, conquer. You're not all wrong. We do have some cloud & influence. We're economically powerful.

Well I have just had 2 days in Germany. That was humiliating and depressing. Pretty much everyone I met from a random guy in a lift to my colleagues in the meetings, on finding out I was English said "Brexit" and laughed.

  4. This was the point when I thought Labour was past the point of no electoral return with Corbyn as leader.

  5. Whilst Peter Hitchens gets it in the neck for his failures to make sufficient inquiry into the validity of the claims he made I think searching questions need to be asked about certain politicians’ responses. Corbyn being one.

  7. One academic has left his rôle at Liverpool Universities. I really think the other Universities need to look carefully at the other lecturers. This sort of misinformation is incredibly dangerous and likely costs lives through fuelling inaction.

There is no question that Shamima Begum’s crimes requires a heavy penalty. But it is illegal under international law to strip anyone of their statehood. Leaving them stateless. Why does the UK not trust its own judicial system to deal with this?

The fact is, we're stuck with Brexit now. And the Tories are stuck with it too. When it does tear the country apart - as it is bound to do - the Tories are still stuck with it. Brexit is not a policy the Tories can undo.

Jeremy Corbyn explicitly says that David Cameron’s vote in 2015 was to help Al-Qaeda. This is a disgusting racist lie from a man who has been trumpeting the Assad regime’s propaganda since the war started in 2011.

I have multiple sources inside the Justice Department that tell me when Barr became Attorney General he shut down *six* separate investigations into Trump and Trump related companies and surrogates. I'm told Barr has also prevented *two new* investigations from moving forward.

This is correct and a really good summary of the political obstacles critics of Brexit, especially in the media, must get past.
