I don’t assume any politician is on my side. But to make the “both sides are the same” argument is foolish too. Just because both sides aren’t great doesn’t meant one side isn’t obviously worse.

Lots of intelligent people disagree about which side is obviously worse than the other (or whether that is relevant), many of them with cogent arguments. Name calling isn't conducive to anything but rousing feelings of tribalism, which while fun are ultimately counter-productive.

No, I refuse to acknowlege the “both sides” argument. It’s bullshit. Reasonable people can disagree about economic and social policy. No reasonable person can say that our two parties are equal when it comes to respect for science, women, minorities, etc.

As far as I can see, both parties are vastly against science (notably both against economics and biology, though in quite different ways), similarly both against women, against minorities, and basic humanity. They both strive on tribalism and superstition.
