A friend inquires: do vegan Catholics eat the body of Christ during the Eucharist?

I think they might point out that Christ not only consented to being eaten, he actually commended it, which makes it very different from the general case of eating meat. On the other hand, Christian doctrine of man's lordship over animals probably doesn't jibe well with veganism.

So vegans won't eat meat, but if I consent to having a cell taken from me and grown in a vat for eating, they will gladly indulge in anthropophagy?
