Confinement is not a solution. At best, it's a temporary stopgap until generalized testing becomes available. The solution is wearing masks, washing hands, avoiding contact, and systematically testing anyone remotely suspected of infection. Plus quarantine for those at risk only.

Generalized confinement will only bankrupt everyone, so poor people won't be able to afford their next medical emergency—thus killing tomorrow even more people than are saved today. Prepare for dark times.
