8000 years ago, the Ice Age melted away. Sea levels rose above the Straight of Ormuz. The Persian Gulf basin was flooded & in it, the first agricultural civilization. A few survivors fled all the way up the Euphrates with their cattle, until they reached the feet of Mount Ararat.

Agricultural civilization restarted and spread around the world from there, carrying with it the legend of a flooding like never before or after, that destroyed all known civilization, where survivors fled on a boat with the ancestors of all then known domesticated animals.

You can't blame our ancestors, who didn't know much, and didn't have a writing system, from telling and retelling the story how best they could, with the distortions and confusions or oral history as it passed through the ages.

But what about the idiots who worship the distortions and use them as tools for dumbing down their brethren, rather than being amazed and grateful at the truth—the story of those ancestors to whom we owe everything, who survived by defying the authorities of their time?
