Wonderful post! happens all the time. $200 license for a software that boost productivity is a terrible obstacle, a mtg with mgmt is needed!
-
Yep. I have seen this even for $50 software

-
I've seen it even for $20 mouse.
-
So true that it’s laughable on one hand and sickening on the other!

2/ It is a very broad, presumptuous statement. Sometimes the 1 hour 20 people meeting is more valuable than $500
-
And sometimes spending $500 can produce a $500K return. That is not the point.
-
Then what is the point? Seems very hyperbolic to me. Giving free advice on Twitter is easy - running a $2b business is very diff
-
Point is that cost of expenses are assessed whereas the cost of meetings are not. It's not saying all, or even any, meetings have no value.
-
Yes because one is tangible (cost can be assessed) and other is not.
-
You know how much you are paying people per hour, so it is quite tangible
-
I would rather assess how much they produce per hour, rather than how much you pay them per hour. That would be the real cost of a meeting
-
Wouldn’t be tangible
