    Now that I think about it, I think Spider-Man gets a lot of its “big superhero revival” credit over Blade and X-Men is because it was really the first post 9/11 mega-blockbuster

    Also the first Spider-Man had to cut out WTC scenes and added a “don’t mess with NYC we protect our own!!” angle to the third act” there’s wierd to watch now

    Am I wrong or did Zoolander have a pan up of NYC that like abruptly faded out when it got to where the towers would be? I think that was the movie but I remember there was like tension in the theater the minute the pan started bc everyone was thinking “are they gonna show them?”

    Oliver & Company actually faced pressure to have the towers removed from its upcoming home video release but Disney refused. I love Oliver & Company so much and the towers always looked so beautiful in that movie.
