New promising async web framework: https://vibora.io Built on top of asyncio & uvloop. Crazy fast: 350K req/s on a simple hello world micro-benchmark. 2x faster than Sanic on average. Flask-inspired.
I always wonder about reason for promotion of python framework as fast! Doesn’t matter how fast c-optimized code of framework, couple hundred lines of busyness code equalizes all of them.

Well, the selling point is low overhead of the framework. That translates to fast responses for requests that hit a fast path in your webapp (cached content etc) or when your Python code just glues together a few DB queries.

The author is promising an integration with Cython and jit for user-defined functions. It can be interesting.

I don’t want to say anything about framework. But cython? Really. If you need performance, python is bad choice in first place.
