How useful will depend on the details. But I'd be surprised if we don't learn quite a lot.

2) An archive for ads with political content. It shows advertiser campaign information for up to 7 years. That's coming to the US soon.

Thank you. Where's the best summary of the technical detail?

Hi Rob: here is a recent announcement; what technical aspect are you interested in?https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/04/transparent-ads-and-pages/ …

Thanks for your response. I have six areas of questions: 1.Does ‘View ads’ include the reach, spend and audience targeted information? Or is it just the creative? i.e. Is it just political advertising that will have that level of detail.
-
I assumed it was all ads from the context of answer 3 to the DCMS Select Committee. This is quite important because defining a political advert in practice is very hard (e.g. does it cover standard issue campaigning by an NGO?)

http://2.So a key question is: What’s different between the ‘view ads tool’ and the ‘archive for ads with political content’?
-
3.Reach: Are you just publishing number of people reached? Or will you give impressions and other metrics? For instance political campaigns will often do get out the vote ads or ads to get donors or email sign ups. These will normally have a high CPM but may also have high ROI.
-
Will you be publishing other metrics that people can set as targets such as footfall, clicks, conversions, engagement, video views? Will reach for video views be 3 second views?
