@facebook Nobody . . . I mean Nobody . . . likes being forced to install Messenger to use Facebook to communicate. Why don't you understand this?
Hi Norman. We appreciate your feedback. We're confident Messenger is the way to provide a faster and more reliable experience. Learn more here: http://on.fb.me/17Ce8o0 . -GN

There was no problem with the old way. This provides you some way to shove more advertisements in our face. We don't want two apps. It functioned as one. I'm confident you understand what I am saying and that your canned response really means you don't care.

Well, as more and more users put their time and energy into other social media platforms, your advertisers will eventually also bail on you.

Norman is absolutely correct. Nobody wants nor needs two apps for Facebook. Facebook wants two apps. Take a cue from Twitter.

If you open the desktop version on your phone browser you can avoid messenger. That is what I did. Of course they also pay cell phone companies to install messenger, so you can’t get rid of it off of your phone. Thankfully iPhone isn’t one of them.
