Ok I'm going to come by the Facebook headquarters and plaster my "Facebook facilitates child pornography" posters all over the walls. But don't ban me from doing it, or else you'll have to take a stance on banning hate speech

Hey Facebook, how do you feel about harassing parents of kids who have been murdered while at school?

Facebook is now associated with fake news. Fake news is destroying our society. It’s being used by parties that mean to disrupt western democracies. Do you want that association to continue?
-
I understand where you are coming from but I believe it isn't up to Facebook to think for people. Fake news is easy to spot if you're clued in. The block feature on facebook works, the option to block fake news is left up to the individual as I think it should be.
-
That is a naive statement. You might be able to spot fake news. Many are not and some fake news are very cleverly made indeed. And yes,it is the responsibility of media like Facebook, Twitter etc. to ensure this stuff is not on their Plattform and spread.

Trouble is it seems to work (unlike Tokyo Rose) as data is shared by friends etc. Not knowingly received from a hostile party. Also, troops are trained to pick out propaganda & average folk aren’t. It’s fueling far right & Islamist extremism. People have been killed as result.
-
I can’t agree. Honestly think there are some vulnerable people that cannot judge. There’s been too many deaths as a result.
-
Change the word vulnerable to under educated or lack common sense & you may have a point.
-
Therefore both groups - one doesn’t exclude the other.

So you’ll put it in advertising, just not into policy. This approach ensures that Facebook continues to be part of the problem.pic.twitter.com/hrFybFDrVg
