Remote is unfortunately a touchy subject at this company for now, although may become necessary as it’s hard to hire a dev period in Alaska. I firmly agree with you though.

I had to get a background check for my job, and it turns out the report is a 300+ page pdf of every single tweet I’ve ever liked with the work “fuck” in it. Enjoy your dystopian bs! *waves*

We have some fun Haskell positions at Klarna, if you are willing to relocate. Sweden can't be that colder than Alaska :) Get in touch if you'd like more info!

This is seriously creepy... 643 apps and websites have shared my activity with Facebook, including my bank Not going to name and shame but many on the list I was sad to see there - how can I prevent this? See yours 👉

The tells you which elements have scroll overflows!! I've spent countless hours debugging why I'm seeing two scrollbars in the past, this is a life saver!

WOW. AirBnB has a pending patent for ”trait analyzer” AI that will crawl & scrape the Internet to score its users. It will judge if you exhibit ”traits such as 'neuroticism and involvement in crimes' and 'narcissism, Machiavellianism, or psychopathy'”.

Just got a email from Dolla on LinkedIn. They are searching for a haskeller. Beware that company does not pay their workers for the work they've done. I'll not give concrete names, but there were a number of people who had just problems with that company.

Beware of fraudulent behavior in the Haskell community. Me and many other haskellers was contacted by Andreas Holmes of Dolla. I was interviewing the person working for Dolla in the past and it’s the statement he provided: /next

I use Nix for my commercial projects now, but if I were introducing someone to Haskell, my advice would 100% be "just use stack". If and when they need more, they'll be experienced enough to evaluate the trade offs and make their own decisions.
