Nice! And how did it work out? What did you do with the schematic afterwards?
Are you looking to recreate a PCB for it, create your own version with possible improvements, or something completely different?
I am not sure yet what I will do with it... Maybe at first 100% recreation of the PCB, later with modifications.
Atari 800XL

Yes, mine too. And I also had my first experiences with BASIC on it. 
That would be one helluva way to learn KiCad. It seems that ut would be an excellent way to learn the 800XL circuitry. Why did you do it? Was it to make a PCB?
It's true. This project touches almost every single aspect of KiCad.
Because Atari 8-bit was my first computer I want to fully understand how the circuitry works. Rebuilding it on a breadboard and creating a PCB will be probably the next steps.
I plan on doing the same with the Sega Model2b board someday. God have mercy on our souls for this nonsense.
