Just filed HB 732 to ban committee hearings outside of the Capitol. The People's business belong's in the People's Building.
@CornejoForMO @ssnich I wondered the same thing, @jeremylafaver: How does this work in relation to non-controversial off-site hearings?

@eyokley My legislation doesn't apply to interim committees to ensure their ability to get to all corners of our state. -
@jeremylafaver can standing committees not travel?

@jeremylafaver@eyokley So these committee hearings should have never happened? http://www.komu.com/news/advocates-for-tax-cuts-pot-use-testify-in-mo-/ … -
@CornejoForMO@eyokley That article states that the hearing happened at the Capitol...So yes, hearings should happen here. -
@jeremylafaver@eyokley Actually, read it again . Not saying it's a bad idea, just trying to nail down details.pic.twitter.com/hxK6fkxMh1

@CornejoForMO For the details, read the bill. It's only a sentence or two. I'm confidant you'll be able to understand it. -
@jeremylafaver@CornejoForMO Two possible fixes. Add "during the legislative session" and/or require approval from speaker/minority leader
