Wasn’t he involved in a wife kidnapping/ransom scheme to swindle a million bucks from his father-in-law a few years ago? Something about a tan Buick.

Tit for tat, McConnell took big money from Russia for his campaign. Stay tuned.

@PreetBharara said in his podcast why so often crime--like Cohen, Manafort type campaign, tax & money laundering--are seldom prosecuted--usually found accidentally. Interesting scandal stirred up against Dem KY Sec of State who'd be watching for voting fraud in McConnell's state.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Clearly he should have laundered those donations through Russia and the NRA.

Just a friendly reminder that, although much of the focus is understandably on the GOP, given how many of their lawmakers are, in some way, tied to Russia and/or what Mueller and U.S. Attorney's Offices are investigating, this stuff is happening on BOTH sides of the aisle.
-
Oh come off it. If he'd given the money to a coordinating super pac it would be legal. This is bogus prosecution.
-
My point is that this kind of thing happens on both sides of the political aisle, and is more of a generalization of the overall problem than focusing on just this one case.
-
As far as I'm concerned, the Citizens United decision should render all prosecutions for "donating too much to a campaign" moot. Unlimited spending is the law and let's do away with the accounting shenanigans.

I'm unfamiliar with the Cocaine Mitch story, but would love hear it. Anyone??
-
A nutty candidate dubbed him “Cocaine Mitch” for dumb reasons, and McConnell ran with it. Here’s the basics:https://www.politico.com/story/2018/05/24/mitch-mcconnell-midterm-candidates-campaigns-607788 …
