We asked parents about arming teachers in a @MorningConsult poll earlier this month: 32% said doing so would make them feel safer about sending their child to school, while 43% said it would make them feel less safe. https://morningconsult.com/2018/08/14/american-parents-divided-by-party-on-safety-of-arming-teachers/ …https://twitter.com/ChrisMurphyCT/status/1032604415507816449 …
What was really interesting was when we asked parents which is the best way to protect their child – passing gun control laws or arming teachers and guards. More parents chose the latter, 56% to 44%. https://morningconsult.com/2018/08/14/american-parents-divided-by-party-on-safety-of-arming-teachers/ …pic.twitter.com/ZcJQUT9zzr

Interesting. I think question could have effect too. It reads as if there is at that moment an active school shooter. I wonder if results different if asked "Do you prefer arming teachers or passing stronger gun control laws to try to prevent school shootings" Maybe not.
