How are plea deals being counted in this data? If a killer is caught + charged with homicide, but then gets a plea deal and only pleads guilty to something like robbery. Is that being counted as a "conviction" for a homicide charge or a robbery charge?https://twitter.com/susieneilson/status/1456353759253065744 …

My understanding from what
@susieneilson said is that that got counted as “not convicted” in the homicide category. The public will be able to verify that independently at some point (e.g., see quoted tweet)@SFDAOffice@chesaboudin release the data!https://twitter.com/journo_anon/status/1456439746482163715?s=21 …

I don't really have any position on how cases are classified. But I have Sunshined all discussions the office may have had about the data too. There is no reason that the DA's office shouldn't disclose exactly what Chronicle got (and may already have).
