The media frenzy around @chesaboudin is out of control. A domestic violence survivor told an NBC reporter yesterday: "I am victim . . . what I have witnessed as a prior victim before is a harassment of our DA" by you. Per the domestic violence victim, as she is talking to
@chesaboudin, an NBC reporter & his camera crew pushed in, "getting in [the DA's] face and longing for a story, longing for attention . . . you were very violent without having to use it physically," she told the reporter.1 reply 3 retweets 16 likesShow this thread -
The reporter and his crew followed
@chesaboudin to the bathroom, initially trying to prevent him from walking there. They then stood outside the bathroom speaking aggressively to female DA staff until the host of the event told them to stop "harassing" the ppl invited.1 reply 4 retweets 16 likesShow this thread -
This was an event for survivors of domestic violence. It was supposed to center their voices. But the media isn't interested in that. The media wants to feast on
@chesaboudin. The reporter mocked him for using the bathroom as an excuse. The DA replied, "I'm a human being."5 replies 6 retweets 22 likesShow this thread -

I like you a lot Lara, but this one is a bit more complex. That reporter had spent 100 days trying to talk to him. The DA office has been freely giving info to journalists who cover him positively, and have been doing the opposite for those whose coverage they can’t promise /1

I appreciate what you say, tho disagree bc it is hard to think of a reporter who is prone to positive coverage of this DA. What's objectionable is the aggression, some of it physical--the dv victim's POV shows the impact. I am all for accountability but endangering ppl--no.

Isn’t Lara the one that taught with Chesa campaign videos? “I won’t participate in a … prosecution.” Well, Chesa wasn’t telling a mistruth there.
