Plus, they would have to acknowledge the ideals of their bat-shit crazy vocal minority are just that, and..you know...advertisers and political contributions and such...that just isnt happening this election cycle.

While i am all for moderation, i don't think that would make any difference at all at this point and the Republican party won since years without any fig leaf for urbanites or coastals.
