perhaps one thing it can be difficult to do is be honest with yourself when you realize a point of personal pride was just convenient capitalist propaganda? it's difficult to admit it when something you held as a point of integrity ends up being capitalist hogwash.

well... it helps if you let go the childish need to be consistent and not a hypocrite. Once you've done that, you can truly evaluate what drives you without the need to be morally superior. And that makes you morally superior so win-win i guess
