One of the main parts of maturing into an adult is learning that you aren't supposed to act like yourself in public. For whatever reason, everyone has come to a silent agreement to pretend to be incredibly boring all the time.

I love it when you meet someone who hasn't adopted that whole facade but it's rare. I'd class 50% of people who consider me a friend as acquaintances because I can see right through it.

It’s difficult when you lock eyes with someone in a crowded room and there’s that mutual “I’m onto you *wink*” Generally I take that as my cue to GTFO....bc one false move and COVER BLOWN!
