To people saying power disparity was higher under feudalism: hell, I could shot an arrow and run it through a nobleman's chest while he was hunting! I could infiltrate the castle and decapitate the lord. Now I can't even get in reach to flip the finger to the president!

Inversely, the lobby of a rich man can make my neighboors and I lose our homes and there is nothing my arrows and sword can do against police in riot gear and armored vehicles! That's a lot of power. Also, I don't really have arrows and swords.

It is difficult to say that; sure, money allows to take power, but it isn't power itself. In times there people didn't have much power they took more power, or thought they did it; Trump, Hitler, Lenin or the paris commune(radicals, don't equate) werent wanted by the ruling class
