Awesome. Although for Kierkegaard, I'd say it's more accurate (less funny) to say: the ability to make meaning, and the ability to recognise the futility of that meaning.
What distinguishes humans from animals? Aristotle: reason. Descartes: a soul. Nietzsche: keeping promises. Marx: making industry. Kierkegaard: being in constant despair every single moment of their lives.
