Separate from the privacy stuff, facebook has become a less and less useful business platform for me. I used to be able to make good revenue by occasionally marketing products. Now, facebook mostly kills those posts. Any other content creators wanna chime in?
The algorithm is designed to make you have to pay to reach your own audience, and they seem to tighten it every year to squeeze out more money. I agree, it's been next to useless for promotion.
