The responses to Facebook abusing people's data are bizarre. A company that exists only for profit owns everyone's data, and uses it…for profit. And the solution is for a "better" profit driven company to own all our data? How would that ever work?

Why would you need public funding for that? These are already being funded by donations being made freely by individuals. Issue is ntwrkefct
