It isn't precisely, but as far as the organization of production goes it may as well be. The capitalist business is undeniably an authoritarian structure.

A "free market" is a bit like a "free tiger". It is its own creature with its own interests and desires, concerned with self preservation and perpetuation, usually at the cost of the freedoms or lives of any humans that happen to be interacting with it. Caged tiger is preferable.
