Fees went up 600% while I was in undergrad. Provost and other higher-up's were making 300k - 800k a year. They should all be hanged for what they're doing to public universities, them and the people putting publicly funded research behind paywalls.

I agree. Adjunct faculty work for peanuts, and colleges overuse them to circumvent paying healthcare and a livable wage. Tuition and room/board are untenable without loans for those without a silver spoon. A part time job is not enough to live on while going to school full time.

You can't talk about higher tuition without discussing the fact that public support for higher education has been declining on an inflation adjusted basis for 40 + years. Beyond that, you have to look at Regents, legislators and donors, and what they value and how they value it.
