Not so weird when it's aligned with the greatest reduction of human suffering in human history.

I'd argue that capitalism has lead to the greatest increase in human suffering globally. Unchecked industrialization, climate change, pollution, extreme wealth inequality, colonialism/imperialism, world wars, systemic racism are all rooted directly in capitalism.
