The first thing you should do when applying to any job, no matter what position, is to demand ABSOLUTE full creative control. That way they know you are not to be trifled with.

O.K. It may be impressive & may work for getting the job. But after you got the job, even if when you are working as a managerial engineering position, it is not that easy to have the ''absolute full creative control'' unless you are a partner or shareholder etc.
