Bizarre stipulation, completely ad hoc. The name should then be "right to be offensive" warriors not "free speech warriors," because they don't stand up for violations of free speech, which is what you just said and was the point of the OP

But they do not claim to be fighting against the very specific form of impingement on free speech you refer to; they specifically claim to be motivated by "free speech" without qualification. However it should be obvious that a principle isn't a principle if applied selectively
