They had kids. They just rebel by being non-existent.
It's a good thing Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir never had kids, because that kid would be under a ton of pressure to be SUPER existential. They probably would end up happy and well adjusted, just to rebel.

de Beauvoir did get pregnant but then had a miscarriage. Sartre wrote about the experience in 2 books- Nausea and Being and Nothingness.
