Democracy is a socialist ideal. Socialism doesn't work without democracy. One cannot spend public funds on public services without input from the public.

The nonsensical argument that this only works in homogeneous & wealthy countries is demonstrably wrong. Extremely diverse & poor nations are able ho provide single payer healthcare You might as well argue that only homogeneous nations can have insurance or discount sales. Idiot

That it only works for small nations is even more nonsensical. Single payer healthcare works better the larger the nation is That's why small countries like Norway band together with other nations to make it work even better, through the EEA USA needs and deserves single payer
